Mr. Shay is retired from serving as Board Chair for the Canadian Premier companies, subsidiaries of Securian Financial Group and from Board Chair at Think Mutual Bank. Mr. Shay’s past expertise includes strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, marketing, and reputation management.
After receiving his BA degree in Business, Accounting from the University of St. Thomas. Mr. Shay was an auditor with Ernst & Whinney for 3 years before beginning his career of 37 years at Securian Financial where her retired as Executive Vice President. During his career, he led Securian’s employee benefits solutions segment which included their group insurance and retirement business lines. He was also responsible for Securian’s retirement sales and distribution.
