Garrett P. Cronin Promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer at Integris Group

GLASTONBURY, CT – Integris Group, a leading member-owned medical professional liability insurance company, recently announced the promotion of Garrett P. Cronin to Chief Underwriting Officer at Integris Group.

Mr. Cronin has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined the Company in 2018 as the Director of Underwriting and was promoted to the VP of Underwriting & Member Services in 2020. During his time at Integris Group, Mr. Cronin oversaw the integration of a new internal policy administration system and managed the Company’s underwriting strategies, rate reviews and filings, and ancillary product development.

Most recently, Mr. Cronin assisted the Company in the acquisition of MedMal Direct Insurance Company (MDIC), a Florida based carrier, by providing underwriting analysis and perspective throughout the acquisition process. The closed transaction was announced in early 2024. As Integris Group’s new Chief Underwriting Officer, Mr. Cronin will oversee the Underwriting Departments at both Integris Insurance Company and MDIC.

Prior to joining Integris Group, Mr. Cronin worked for Chubb Corporation as a National Underwriting Manager within their Chubb Specialty Business. His background and focus over the course of his career has been in the underwriting of healthcare, public and private management liability commercial business, and financial institutions.

Mr. Cronin received his undergraduate degree in business from Southern Connecticut State University and his MBA from the University of New Haven with a concentration in Finance and Marketing.
