Integris Group Announces Promotion of James “Jay” Votta to Vice President of Actuarial Services

GLASTONBURY, CT – Integris Group, formerly named CMIC, a leading member-owned medical professional liability carrier, is pleased to announce that James “Jay” Votta has been promoted to Vice President of Actuarial Services. Mr. Votta joined Integris Group in July of 2020.

“Jay’s expertise in both actuarial services, as well as in the Property & Casualty industry, will be tremendously beneficial in continuing the Company’s legacy of financial stability,” said Michael Conneely, Chief Financial Officer of Integris Group. “Through his new role, I am confident his skills and knowledge will enable us to continue to expand our product offerings and services to members, and also extend the Company’s reach from our current footprint.”

Mr. Votta brings a wealth of experience to the leadership position. Prior to joining the Company, he served as a Partner with Ernst & Young and was the appointed actuary for a variety of leading companies in the insurance and reinsurance industries, including in the medical professional liability sector.

Throughout his career, he worked closely with the capital markets on mergers and acquisitions, and oversaw the expansion of various actuarial tools, including reserving and rate-marking platforms and predictive models for underwriting and claims arbitrage.

Mr. Votta holds a B.S. in Economics from Colby College. He is also a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).
